West Suburban Medical Center welcomes local chamber of commerce

West Suburban Medical Center hosted an Oak Park – River Forest Chamber of Commerce networking event Feb. 8, welcoming a sold-out crowd of 75 chamber members.

Aptly named “Business After Hours,” the networking event included food and activities for attendees. West Suburban Medical Center is committed to ongoing engagement with the broader community and hosting the chamber’s networking event is an example of the hospital’s outreach.

Hospital leadership, including Chief Executive Officer Barbara Martin and River Forest Chief Administration Officer Corky Bellile took the opportunity not only to meet with business leaders, but also to further educate attendees on the breadth of services available at both the main hospital in Oak Park and the River Forest campus.

“West Suburban Medical Center has been a part of the fabric of these communities for over 100 years,” said Martin. “We have a responsibility to be an active participant in the area’s business community, and we want the business community to be informed about the scope and quality of care provided by this hospital and the revitalization efforts underway.”

Each attendee received a West Suburban Medical Center thank-you bag containing hand sanitizer, a pen and hospital educational materials. Additionally, in recognition of American Heart Month, the hospital provided information on heart health.
